Toby & Tilly

Toby is approximately twenty, maybe older. We met him on a local walk and noticed he was alone without shelter - the two things donkeys need. We left a note on the gate and the owner contacted us to say he was dumped by someone and they didn’t want him as he was aggressive with other donkeys. The Donkey Sanctuary helped us by getting him castrated and gaining his trust. Once Toby had been gelded we felt it was time to introduce Tilly. Tilly is around six years old and is a lovely girl but more standoffish than Toby unless you have treats! She and Toby became inseparable straight away and have made a strong bond.
